About Us

We exist to narrow the gap between theft and detection

Fraud tools act when an attack is already in motion. We work one step earlier — inside the criminal underground, where the accounts, cards, and checks about to be hit are traded first.

The problem

Detection arrives too late

Traditional security and anti-fraud tools act when an attack is already underway — a suspicious login, a bad check at presentment. Institutions also have limited visibility into the customers, third parties, and vendors most exposed to electronic crime.

2016 · Founded

Built to narrow the gap

Q6 Cyber was founded in 2016, as the Dark Web matured into a working marketplace for stolen checks, card data, and banking credentials. Institutions could see the losses clearly. They could not see the private forums and channels where the attacks were being planned.

Our conviction

Prevention, not detection

Monitor the threat actors directly and an institution can act early — before fraud reaches customers or systems. That conviction hasn’t changed since day one. The fraud stack isn’t broken; it just needs better fuel than a signal that arrives at the moment of attack.

August 2025 · Growth investment

Backed to expand our impact

In August 2025, Q6 Cyber received a strategic growth investment from Charlesbank Capital Partners. We’re growing quickly, and continuing to pioneer proactive fraud intelligence for institutions from $200M to $2T in assets.

Today

We watch the threat actors themselves

Who they’re targeting, what tools and tactics they use, and what data has already been compromised. Every finding is a confirmed compromise — signal a fraud team can act on, not another queue to triage.

Our team

Careers spent on the front lines

Our analysts come from law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and corporate security — fighting fraud and cybercrime from the inside. That’s why we understand the pressure fraud teams are under, and the limits of traditional intelligence offerings.

Our Leadership

Our team of security and intelligence professionals brings decades of frontline experience from U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies. We’re based in Miami, and our team’s range of languages and cultural backgrounds is essential to operating inside the closed communities where financial crime is actually planned. Above all, every member of our team is passionate about the work, committed to continuous improvement, and dedicated to our clients’ success.
